What to Expect...

A Dedicated Coach.

I spent the best part of three decades trying to find "my thing".

I've done almost every job under the sun: a teacher, tour guide, waitress, sales rep, carer, copywriter, singer, and comedian. If variety is the spice of life, I'm eating a vindaloo. Every single job I've had has challenged me, and I am no stranger to launching myself out of my comfort zone.

But the one thing that has always motivated me is: human connection. Whether that was making somebody belly-laugh with a ridiculous story or leading a group on tour, I've had to adapt and train my social skills to a T. â€‹

Now, as a Public Speaking Coach, I get to help other people propel themselves out of their comfort zone and present themselves with conviction, confidence, and command.

Here's how I work...

No session is ever the same (you know I love variety). I tailor every session according to the needs of my student. Nonetheless, here's an idea of what we might work on together...

Public Speaking Coaching Landmarks

  • Breathing and Vocal Techniques—Learning how to use breath support to power your voice forward. Looking at melody, intonation, pitch, and power. Examining pitch and word-emphasis.

  • The Power of Pausing—Confidence is being comfortable in the silence. Getting familiar with the quiet without trying to fill the gaps. Silence is not weakness — it's strategy.

  • Stature and Posture—How you hold yourself can speak volumes. We'll look at body relaxation, subtle gestures, and how to stand with power.

  • Expressing Yourself—Some people are mistaken for being indifferent when, in fact, they have big opinions and just don't know how to express them. We focus on facial relaxation, techniques to engage the face with emotions, and reflecting how you truly feel in your voice.

  • Kick Self-Doubt—Maybe you're someone who struggles with trusting what you have to say. We use improvisation games to shake off the inner judge and have some fun with it.

  • Stand and Deliver—Looking at speeches and breaking them down into an easy-to-digest structure that is engaging.

  • Focused Role Play—A tricky conversation at work? Owning your decisions? Dealing with conflict? We'll put your skills to the test with focused role-play scenarios.

  • Toast Time—If you're preparing for a wedding speech or motivational talk, we dive into storytelling and how to be compelling and truthful.

  • Get Creative—Not everything has to be so serious. Maybe you need a good laugh? We use scripts and improvised stories to build character and charm.

Whatever your goals are, we'll roadmap a plan to achieve them using a wide range of techniques, exercises, and activities. By the end, public speaking will be a walk in the park.
